After our initial consultation, and you decide that you wish to hire my services, a retainer agreement will be required to be signed by both parties.
A Retainer Agreement sets out the scope of the work you wish to have completed as well as the duties and responsibilities each party has to each other.
Once retained, retainer funds will have to be deposited in Trust for the action to continue, as set out in the Retainer Agreement. Typically, an amount of $1,000.00 is required to begin a matter.
A Matter may be broken down into simpler parts where you request input and support in certain areas of a matter. Examples of this are going to court in a small claims court matter or preparing and serving the claim in a Landlord and Tenant Matter.
The Retainer Agreement specifies the scope and nature of the work to be completed.
